The NALIP WORLD Channel American Graduate Digital Video Project was competitive open call to media producers to submit RFP (Request for Proposals) for digital video shorts in support of American Graduate:  Let’s Make it Happen

The Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) with National Association of Latino Independent Producers (NALIP) awarded three $15,000 grants to the winners of the World Channel American Graduate Digital Video Project. The recipients, William Caballero from Newark, New Jersey, Gabriela Lopez de Dennis of Woodland Hills, California, and Gloria Moran from Los Angeles each produced short-form content for broadcast and online distribution in support of the American Graduate initiative. They have worked with NALIP and World Channel throughout the content development phase, as well as during the pre- and post- production processes.

We are excited to have William D. Caballero (The Smallest Step), Gabriela López de Dennis (Overcomers) and Gloria Maria Guadalupe Morán (Every Girl Matters) preview their work under this inaugural program with NALIP, Corporation for Public Broadcasting, World Channel at NALIP Media Summit 2015! Be sure to attend the NALIP Opening Screenings to see their inspiring projects before their official premieres!

American Graduate: Let’s Make it Happen is a public media initiative made possible by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) to help communities address the high school dropout crisis and keep more students on the path to success in college and careers.  The initiative supports the creation of national and local content that increases understanding and dialogue around the social, economic, and policy complexities surrounding the dropout issue and highlights solutions to help spur action at the local level.
