NALIP is now accepting applications for our Fall 2014 internship, at our Los Angeles offices. The 16-week position starts in August and will surround NALIP's upcoming programming.  It’s are a great opportunity to gain real world experience in the exploding Latino media industry. Intern should be interested in working in a highly collaborative environment and should have basic experience in office administration. Intern will assist with office management, communications, and program/event coordination, while taking part in new programs development. Social Media savviness and excellent writing skills required.

Location: Los Angeles, CA

SKILLS REQUIRED

The successful candidate for this internship position will be proficient with Microsoft Office, and MAC ready, with strong writing skills. The ability to prioritize, be resourceful and work independently with self-motivation is very important. Good desk, phone manner and people skills are required . Computer graphic and photoshop skillls are very useful but not essential. Awareness of or interest in Latino media including independent film, documentary, TV, and/or digital world is important. An understanding of social media (Facebook, Twitter, instagram, etc.) required. Spanish language skills are an added bonus for NALIP, but not an essential requirement. To be eligible, you must be a currently enrolled college student who resides or attends school in Los Angeles County. Prior experience in or knowledge of filmmaking is not required. Position for college credit/experience.
