Manager, Strategy & Business Development - Participant

Position Summary: The Manager, Strategy & Business Development Manager will work directly with the SVP, Strategy & Business Development to analyze and implement Participant’s long-term strategic initiatives, which will set the trajectory for the company’s growth over the next several years.  They, will build the strategic foundations of Participant, whose mission is to tell stories that inspire people to create social impact. This is a high-visibility role that will collaborate with senior executives and their teams to manage and drive projects to defined successful outcomes. Central to this work will be the development and operationalization of Participant’s long-term strategy in areas including content, social impact, and digital audience development.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and quantify growth strategy and new business development opportunities for Participant
  • Lead cross-functional teams to evaluate, articulate and present Participant’s key strategic initiatives for C-level leadership
  • Collaborate in a team environment within Strategy and with business unit partners and stakeholders
  • Analyze industry trends, competitive landscape, growth opportunities and internal performance
  • Execute projects on behalf of business units, including social impact and content teams
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience at a professional services organization, or in a strategy role at a corporate or non-profit organization
  • BA required, MBA is a plus
  • Experience at social impact organization or digital media and entertainment companies, preferred
  • Passion for entertainment’s ability to create social impact
  • Demonstrable success in delivering results in a collaborative, cross-functional team setting
  • Superior analytical skills
  • Strong executive presentation skills
