Final Call for Proposals for “Latino Lens Incubators: Beyond Graduation”
LOS ANGELES - The National Association of Latino Independent Producers (NALIP) and WORLD Channel announced a final call for proposals for the next series of Latino Lens Incubators: Beyond Graduation to award five grants to create digital video shorts. Deadline is December 3, 2017.
NALIP and WORLD Channel seek video proposals from content creators that tell compelling and insightful stories about students’ lives beyond high school graduation. Three documentary shorts (nonfiction/un-scripted) and two dramatic shorts (fiction/scripted) will receive production funds and post-production support provided by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB). The NALIP Latino Lens Incubators is a unique incubation and media content production program designed to develop, nurture and advance Latino producers, directors and writers.
Funding for the NALIP/WORLD Beyond Graduation digital video project is provided by CPB as part of American Graduate: Let’s Make It Happen, a public media initiative to help communities prepare all students for success in school, careers and life. This initiative builds on last year’s CPB-supportedLatino Lens Incubators program to extend an opportunity for diverse filmmakers to produce content about educational issues.
