The former manager of Latin superstar Jenni Rivera is launching TuYo, a bilingual digital entertainment network aimed at Hispanic audiences.

Pete Salgado is lining up content deals and has recruited a handful of executives to steer the Los Angeles-based venture, which is repped by CAA. The network is targeting a July content launch for a digital hub that will offer curated channels and a la carte original series, movies, sports, gaming and news programming. TuYo will incorporate a mix of ad-supported and subscription viewing options.

TuYo said it has set content pacts with Sofia Vergara’s Latin World Entertainment, World of Wonder, Dhana Media, Great Glass Productions and celeb partners including actress Adriana Barraza, singer Don Omar, actress Adriana Fonseca, singer Frankie J, TV Host Liliana Moyano and boxer Fernando Vargas, among others.

“TuYo was created to expand the content options for audiences and creators on digital broadcast networks today,” said Salgado, founder and CEO of TuYo. “We have cultivated the best in programming and entertainment in Spanish and English, creating an opportunity for new and established talent and production partners to showcase the best in one-of-a-kind content serving an immediate viewing audience.”

Execs on board at TuYo include Mun2 alum Mari Urdaneta as VP of programming and creative; IM Records alum Javier Morales as VP of Acquisitions and licensing; and Enrique Calderon as director of production.

The fledgling TuYo service at present is distributed via AppleTV, Roku, Google Chrome and Fire Fly TV, and the app is available for download on Apple and Android devices.
