Sundance Film Festival is hosting a Virtual reality, Augmented Reality, and Artificial Intelligence film lineup within their “New Frontier” program. Some of these films include “Dispatch”, “Eyes in the Red Sun”, and We Are Inclusion pick Angel Manuel Soto’s film “Dinner Party. ”    

President and founder of Sundance Institute Robert Redford stated, "Technology-enabled storytelling continues to develop into a thriving industry. It's essential to protect the creative spaces where creators can develop work and reach audiences independent of commercial pressures.”  

With the overall boom of companies including VR into their catalog; FoxSearchlight, Facebook, Skybound it’s easy to see where the future of film will end up.

Sundance film festival starts Jan 18 to Jan 28 in Park City, Utah.
