‘Superstore’ Renewed For Season 4 At NBC

Created and written by Justin Spitzer, Superstore centers around Amy (America Ferrera), the store’s most stalwart employee as well as the glue holding the place together. Jonah (Ben Feldman), who is often the target of his colleagues ribbing, is joined on the floor with his fellow associates, including sardonic Garrett (Colton Dunn), the ambitious Mateo (Nico Santos) and sweet teenager and new mom Cheyenne (Nichole Bloom). Overseeing the store is Glenn (Mark McKinney), the affable, clueless store manager, and Dina (Lauren Ash), the aggressive assistant manager who enforces Cloud 9 policy with an iron fist.

The annual British Academy Film Awards (BAFTAs) were a Searchlight affair, with Guillermo del Toro’s The Shape of Water taking three awards including Best Director for del Toro. The strong showing makes the film a strong candidate for the top prizes at the Oscars just two Sundays from now. Disney's Coco took the award for Best Animated Feature as well.

‘Magnum PI’ Reboot Pilot at CBS Casts Jay Hernandez in Lead Role

The “Magnum P.I.” reboot pilot has cast Jay Hernandez as the titular private eye. 

Hernandez will play Thomas Magnum, a decorated ex-Navy SEAL who, upon returning home from Afghanistan, re-purposes his military skills to become a private investigator.

CBS Launches Female Empowerment Program "Eye Speak"

The new initiative, hosted by CBS Television Studios, will kick off with an event March 14.

In the wake of the #MeToo movement, CBS is making an effort to support women.

The company is launching Eye Speak, a program designed to promote female empowerment and forge a path of growth and opportunity for women at CBS and the entertainment industry as a whole. The initiative — announced by CBS Corp. president and chief advertising revenue officer Jo Ann Ross — is a group effort by CBS Television Studios, CBS Entertainment Diversity and Inclusion, CBS Corporate Communications and CBS Sales.

California State University, Fullerton has a high success rate of Latino graduates and several students from their Latino Communications Institute (LCI) have been a significant pipeline for the National Association of Latino Independent Producers (NALIP) in recruiting interns. LCI pushes forward for the inclusion of bilingual students interested in the Latino market and advancing their careers in the industry. The institute provides a pathway for CSUF students by offering relevant courses, internship connections, mentorship and a Spanish for Hispanic Media academic certificate to enhance their Spanish-language skills.
