Here was a fun drinking game to have played at last night’s Emmy Awards: take a shot every time someone says the word “diversity.” By the first hour you’d already have been passed out, what with presenters and hosts alike bandying the word around to the point where it lost all meaning.

‘One Day At A Time’ Star Justina Machado Inks With UTA

Justina Machado, who stars on Netflix’s rebooted Norman Lear series One Day at a Time, has signed with UTA. The series from Lear and Sony TV is underway on shooting its third season which will air in 2019.

Mexico Selects Cuarón’s ‘Roma’ as Oscar Entry for Best Foreign Language Film

Following its success at the Venice International Film Festival where it took home the Golden Lion, the event’s highest accolade, Roma by Alfonso Cuarón has been officially selected by the Mexican Academy as the film that will represent the country at the 91st Academy Awards in the Best Foreign Language Film category and at the 33rd Goya Awards (the Spanish Academy Awards) in the Best Ibero-American Film field.
