NATPE Seasonal Telemarketer

Bilingual English/Spanish Speaking Telemarketer Needed! $15/hour Full-time Temp.   

NATPE is currently looking for a Seasonal Telemarketer.

This is a temporary full-time position beginning immediately and ending January 15, 2016. The position pays $15 per hour (40 hours per week) and is not eligible for benefits except overtime pay as required and parking fees are covered. You must be able to work at the NATPE offices based in the mid-Wilshire area of Los Angeles.

NATPE provides the big-tent environment where deals start, and then get done across every platform. Committed to serving as a catalyst in the content revolution, the annual Market and Conference will once again be held at the Fontainebleau Resort, Miami Beach (Jan. 19-21, 2016).

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Make calls to potential NATPE 2016 clients by telephoning previous attendees as well as new client leads.

  • Influences customers to register for the event by following a prepared sales script to give event information and price quotations.

  • Call lists are generated by our intensive database of clients from over 53 years of being in business. Many clients are repeat attendees. We also receive new client leads from various sources including but not limited to friends in the industry, competitor lists, client lists, and paid lists. This means you will be calling people who are in the television business and interested in furthering their businesses.

  • Many clients are international so ability to work early in the morning PST is required on most days.  

  • Must be detailed-oriented to take call notes and schedule follow-ups. Daily reports must be submitted to Manager.

  • Report to the Manager, Integrated Marketing Communications but must be able to interface with all members of the Marketing team and other internal departments.

Job Functions and Tasks:

  • Deliver prepared sales pitch reading from script that describes NATPE, in order to persuade potential customers to register for the event in January in Miami Beach.

  • Answer questions from clients.

  • Obtain customer information if information has changed such as company name, telephone number, etc.

  • Record names, addresses, intent to register info and reactions of prospects contacted.

  • Adjust sales scripts to better target the needs and interests of specific client groups.

  • Answer telephone calls from potential customers who have been solicited through other means of outreach.
    Obtain information about referrals and other potential clients not in our database.

  • Oversee projects from start to completion in a timely manner.

  • Perform essential administrative duties required to keep projects on track.

  • Follows set procedures and also be capable of exercising independent judgment in carrying out instructions.

  • Must be able to multi-task in fast-paced sometimes pressured situations.

  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

  • Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

  • Lead research efforts on topics related to audience and event development.

  • Secures information by completing database backups.

 

Education and Experience

  • Knowledge of sales and marketing principles and strategies

  • Relevant work experience in sales, marketing, promotions or telemarketing

  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel

  • Must be Bilingual English/Spanish.
