SnapChat is currently looking for a Development Manager to join the Snap Originals team in their Santa Monica office. This full-time position will oversee the development and production of scripted programming - from pitch through premiere.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• oversee development and production for scripted series programming with focus on scripted comedy
• acting as a point of contact to external creative partners during production
• collaborate with senior management to inform and implement Snapchat's Original Content strategy 
• generate ideas for new shows and field pitches from outside producers
• cultivate and maintain relationships with agents, managers, production companies, writers, and other creatives
• collaborate with internal teams from Marketing and Comms through Research and Product
• potentially manage a Development Associate 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree
• 7-10+ years TV and/or digital video development experience who has successfully launched several scripted drama series as key creative executive
• 5+ years managerial experience

• experienced creative with exceptional editorial judgement and deep industry knowledge
• leader with defined and focused creative vision & strong organizational skills
• strong communicator who works well under pressure
• innovative thinker/idea generator deeply immersed in current media & pop culture
• entrepreneurial driver who's skilled at putting packages together and developing ideas from scratch 
• passionate Snapchatter
