Manager Finance - Production Services, Paramount Pictures

This position is responsible for supporting the financial reporting and analysis of the Production Services departments, including reviewing and compiling data, analyzing departmental reports and preparing supplemental reports for Facility Sales (Stages) and Production Support (Back-Lot).

Job Summary
This position is responsible for supporting the financial reporting and analysis of the Production Services departments, including reviewing and compiling data, analyzing departmental reports and preparing supplemental reports for Facility Sales (Stages) and Production Support (Back-Lot). 
 
Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:
*Ensures compliance with all financial controls within the Studio Group
* Reviews and revises controls periodically to ensure continued effectiveness
* Financial support of all Facility Sales and Production Support departments: Compiles and reviews the annual operating budgets, quarterly forecasts and monthly projections
* Oversees the monthly close process
* Prepares monthly financial reports of revenue and expenses, ensuring their completeness, accuracy and timeliness and compiles and analyzes results and presents statements to senior management
* Monitors actual results to prepare monthly projection and accrual information, reviews and analyzes results against budget/forecast and prepares variance reports as required 
* Responsible for continuous improvements in the budget/forecast process to ensure operating assumptions are properly factored into financial plans and variances minimized, where possible, including verification of labor, headcount and capital/depreciation, and maintenance of all financial models
* Creation of all off line management reports including new deal multipliers, production post mortems and stage yield analyses
* Determine group KPI’s to manage business, determine areas to streamline, identify inefficiencies and improve overall profitability
* Manages all on-going weekly reports to executive management
* Oversees capital request/disposal processes and reviews fixed asset register for accuracy and completeness
* Additional Ad-Hoc analysis and reporting as needed
Qualifications/Skills

  
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
*Minimum 3 years financial analysis experience, with strong departmental budgeting and job order costing skills
 
Desired Skills:
* Good analytical skills and a familiarity with financial concepts required
* Strong time management and organizational skills, attention to detail and experience managing staff
* Must be proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and corporate accounting systems in general
(mainframe, SAP, job costing systems, etc), Hyperion a plus
* Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary to effectively communicate with all levels of Company personnel and outside parties
* Facilities operations and administration experience preferred
