Line Producer - Dino Daycare

We are seeking a Line Producer to support Dino Daycare, a CG animated preschool series currently in production.  This Line Producer role will liaise with the Netflix Creative and Production Executive teams along with the Creator, Executive Producers, and Production Crew to manage, guide, and troubleshoot throughout all phases of production.

About the Show:
Dino Daycare is an animated preschool comedy series created by Jeff King (Vampirina) and Executive Produced by Chris Nee (Doc McStuffins, Vampirina). 
Dino Daycare is set in a world where the dinosaurs never went extinct. And just like cats and dogs, some dinosaurs are still wild...and some have been domesticated. In this modern world, humans and dinosaurs live together in harmony. People have dino-pets; there are dinosaur sanctuaries, vets, pet shops, parks - you name it! And specifically in the case of our show: DINO DAYCARE.
Job Summary:
Our ideal candidate is a thoughtful communicator and an ambitious problem solver. This leadership role will set the pace, communication, and culture of the production crew to support workflows and deliverables for creative direction, schedules, budget, and tools.

What You’ll Do:

    • Customize, maintain, and oversee the production schedule and microschedules including budget
    • Partner with the Finance and Production Accounting departments regularly for budget reviews, updates, and cost reports
    • Communicate any production concerns to Production Executive and partner closely to resolve when issues arise 
    • Partner closely with animation studio overseeing both front-end and back-end animation production and work together to maintain deadlines and quality 
    • Work with Creative team (Showrunners, Supervising Directors, and writers) to balance timelines and efficiency and ensure all needs are met
    • Supervise and review vendor agreements as needed for writers and script fees
    • Partner with both creative and technical groups within Netflix to ensure that our plans for creative and practical goals can be delivered 
    • Assess, manage, and communicate series production schedules and complexities with internal teams, animation studio partners such as Post, and external services
    • Manage and mentor the Production Staff, creating environments where all team members are treated fairly and respectfully, are valued for their talent and perspective, and are given the opportunity to do work that is purposeful and impactful
    • Work Closely with Artist Management through to end of show to support crew experience, provide feedback on performance, identify department strengths and weaknesses, participate in end date and recasting conversations 
    • Support all team departments with problem solving, anticipating needs and concerns, and providing solutions
    • Facilitate communication to the crew and show leadership through weekly progress reports and daily updates 
    • Take part in storyboard pitches, animatic reviews, spotting sessions, mixes, and onlines as needed
    • Take part in casting, auditions, and recording sessions as needed
    • Some travel as needed

What You’ll Need:

    • 3+ years experience as a Line Producer on animated series or feature films. (Other creative fields such as gaming or VFX are also applicable)
    • Expert understanding of animation pipelines from pre-production through post-production
    • Adaptability and resilience to quick changes in priorities, technology, tools and workflow
    • Tenacious and passionate in the pursuit of inclusive teams 
    • Curiosity, creativity, and passion for inventive storytelling
    • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; providing candid, helpful, and timely feedback to colleagues
    • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
    • Experience in Google Suite (preferred) or Microsoft Office 
    • Knowledge of production tracking and asset management required.
