I was born in Mexico and grew up along the border that divides the United States and Mexico. I am captivated by the dichotomy that exists in this part of the world: a geopolitical line divides two counties yet language and culture cross freely. As an immigrant, I seek out unique stories and filmmakers who celebrate their culture. As someone who loves movies, I aspire to tell captivating stories and work with the artists who inspire me. A large part of my youth, and an even-larger part of my adult life, has been spent in front of a screen. The most important lesson I have learned about filmmaking is that a good story begins on the page and only in the hands of a gifted storyteller does it become great.
