KAMAL SINCLAIR is the Co-Director of New Frontier (Lab Programs) at the Sundance Institute, which supports artists working at the convergence of film, art, media and technology. New Frontier offers programing at the Sundance Film Festival; an annual immersive Story Lab; year-round alumni support; artist residencies; and day labs. Prior to Sundance Institute, she was an artist and producer on the art project Question Bridge: Black Males, which exhibited at over 30 prestigious museums and festivals. She also worked as a Transmedia Producer at 42 Entertainment that developed projects for films, television and brands. Her professional career began as a cast member of the Off-Broadway hit STOMP; and she served as founding artistic director of Universal Arts, where she earned critical acclaim for her original plays like Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome. She graduated cum laude with both her BFA in Theater from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and her MBA from GSU’s Robinson College of Business.
