Staff Writer - TRex Ranch

The Role:
Moonbug Entertainment is looking for a full-time Staff Writer for T-Rex Ranch, a live-action/animation hybrid show on YouTube aimed at kids 4-8. Passion for creating children’s entertainment is a must and we will ask qualified candidates to submit a writing sample in the kids’ space. Preschool, bridge or 6-11 samples are preferred.
The ideal candidate will have first-hand experience with the creative process from inception to post-production for digital platforms such as YouTube or traditional broadcast, cable, and streaming platforms. Physical production experience is a big plus, as is experience in CG animation. You will be expected to take an active role in the production of episodes, from helping the in-house production team to reviewing edits and eventually covering set.
This is a demanding and fast-paced role that requires significant accountability and initiative. As an in-house staff writer, you may also be asked to work across other Moonbug shows, so knowledge of preschool animation and the broader kids’ entertainment world is highly preferred. This position will report into the Head Writer/Showrunner. This role reports on-site at our Los Angeles West Hollywood office.

We are looking for a strong producer to be part of our Live-action team. The candidate must be able to juggle a few productions at once in various stages of development, pre-production, production, and some areas in post-production. The Producer will oversee live-action projects in the U.S. within all stages of live-action production, including development, prep and pre-production, shoot execution and post-production.
An important component of the job is talent relations - working with them on creative, schedules, and general goodwill. From time to time we work with third-party brand partners, which involves relationship management. Flexibility is essential as things are ever-changing with every project. We are looking for a Production Assistant to join the growing production team in LA on a contract. We are looking for someone with previous experience in animation production, who is looking to develop within this industry.
The role will be focused on assisting the production team. You will be asked to help with a variety of tasks as needed on a day-to-day basis, including research, admin, file management, and assisting with pre-production and production processes, as well as small video and visual editing tasks. It is crucial that you are highly organized and able to work independently, so good time management and prioritization will be expected. Being part of a growing company, any number of extra skills to bring to the role, such as fluency in a second language or a visual artist skillset will be highly valued, although this is not a requirement for the role. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: reading and evaluating submissions (scripts, books, articles, etc), researching IP and pitching material to executives, and providing administrative help on occasion. By the end of the internship, our goal is to illuminate interns to the business of TV development and give them a better understanding of the day-to-day processes of a small production company with a studio deal.

The feature film The Witch Boy is seeking a Storyboard Revisionist with unique technical styling and skills in storytelling, strong posing/acting for dramatic scenes, good cinematographic sense, an interest in a heartfelt drama, and dynamic drawing to bring this CG feature to life. The Storyboard Revisionist will work closely with Story Team leadership to execute production deliverables according to the Creator and Director’s vision. This person should have knowledge and experience with storytelling and pacing.
