Ivan Bordas was born in Santiago, Dominican Republic. He began working in the film industry in Santo Domingo while pursuing a business degree from La Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra. Ivan received an MFA in Film and Television Production at the School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California (USC). He directed the short The Beach and produced Al Sur de la Inocencia, Tomorrow, and Mosquito: The Bite of Passage. He also wrapped his feature film, Cabarete, featured on the 2017 Latino Media Market.
