Marketing + Publicity Intern

Description:

The National Association of Latino Independent Producers (NALIP) is looking for dedicated publicity interns that will help in building and maintaining mutual and beneficial relationships with our partners, members and future prospectors to better NALIP’s mission, programs and events. In addition to these communication assignments, interns will be introduced to the major topics and issues related to arts advocacy, nonprofit management, community organizing, and communication best practices.

Must be available a minimum of 3 days a week and a minimum of 4 hours a day. All work will be done remotely. This position is unpaid/for-credit only.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Contacting Magazines, Newspapers, E-zines, Blogs, Podcasts, and all other forms of publishing to set up interviews and press for the organization and key staff members
  • Assist in curating articles for the NALIP newsletter covering Latinx creatives in the entertainment industry
  • Collaborate with various departments to program events from planning to post-production
  • Assist with ongoing administrative tasks, database management, membership correspondence and participate in staff meetings
  • Writing press releases & talent invitations, talent management
  • Learn to manage and track cross-promotional agreements with organization partners
  • Develop interview and discussion questions for guest speakers and talent
  • Demonstrate passion for our mission and dedication to media arts, entertainment, and communication
  • Serve as a NALIP representative attending events with partner organizations and companies

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Critical thinker possessing excellent writing and communication, and research skills
  • Avid user of social and video networking sites like YouTube, Facebook, with general understanding of the current feature set
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive deadlines

Event Planning & Programming Intern

Description:

NALIP (National Association of Latino Independent Producers) is seeking to fill an Event Planning internship! We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented, organized, go-getter to help us plan and execute our upcoming virtual events. We plan workshops, panels, networking opportunities, and screenings. This role offers a great hands-on experience with an established non-profit organization.

This is an unpaid internship, college credit is available. Must be available at least 3 days a week and a minimum of 16 hours a week. This position is Remote for the remainder of 2020.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Provide extensive Logistical support that includes research, drafting emails, and technical support.
  • Assist in preparation and execution of virtual events
  • Work with Events & Communications Coordinators on event promotional ideation
  • Assist in event registration and RSVP/guest lists.
  • Aide in the ideation process of programming speakers
  • Act as strategic thought partner in event strategies and implementations

Administrative Assistant Intern

Description:

NALIP (The National Association of Latino Independent Producers) is seeking to fill an Administrative Internship position. This person will primarily provide direct support to the Projects Director, including but not limited to cost reports, travel arrangements, scheduling, presentations, database management, organizing confidential information, and writing meeting minutes. Must have a strong ability to work independently and use sound judgment.

This role offers the intern a great hands-on experience with an established non-profit organization. NALIP’s mission is to promote, advance, inspire, and advocate for Latinx and diversity in media. The position is REMOTE for the remainder of 2020.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides support to the organization’s leadership with tasks related to development, office management, human resources, and scheduling
  • Assist in managing busy schedules and coordinate meetings on a regular basis
  • Coordinate and manage domestic/international travel arrangements
  • Provide administrative support to the organization’s core leadership

Video Editor Internship

Description:

The National Association of Latino Independent Producers (NALIP) is seeking motivated, hard-working video editor to join the Digital Production Team. As the premier non-profit organization working to promote and advocate for Latinx in media, we are constantly producing content to move careers forward. The Digital Production Team oversees all original content produced by NALIP in addition to the development and preparation for the NALIP signature programs such as the Diverse Women in Media Forum.

Must have a laptop/desktop with access to Adobe Creative Cloud Suite.

This is an unpaid internship, college credit is available. Must be available at least 3 days a week and a minimum of 16 hours a week. This position is Remote for the remainder of 2020.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Capture BTS footage and still photography of NALIP Productions.
  • Create and edit highlight/sizzle reels, promotional videos, podcast content, and other projects as assigned.
  • Brainstorm and develop various forms of promotional material.
  • Collaborate with graphic designers and motion graphic designers to create motion graphic assets for videos and virtual platforms.
  • Organize and maintain multiple physical and cloud drives.

Motion Graphics Internship

Description:
