     Description: Equivalent to a trailer for a film, an intriguing pitch gains the interest, support and investments necessary for developing projects. Learn the tricks of the trade from executives as they discuss how to prepare your ideas and confidently pitch your features into fruition.

SPEAKER BIOS:

Georgina Gonzalez-Rodriguez (Head of Development | Cinépolis Producción)

Georgina Gonzalez-Rodriguez is head of development at Cinépolis Producción. She previously worked in development at Story House Entertainment for TV series in co-production with Netflix such as El Chapo, as well as at 20th Century Fox, Universal, MGM, Paramount, etc. Through her company, Off-Hollywood Films she produced the feature Kiliwas at Dusk (IMCINE production fund), the short doc Passion Drives Us for World Channel through the NALIP Beyond graduation Incubator, and co-produced Kings of Nowhere (SXSW, Zurich film fest winner), Reports on Sarah and Saleem (Rotterdam Film Fest winner, Hubert Bals and World Cinema Fund recipient), Finding the Werewolf (IFP Week & PGA diversity workshop participant, Ibermedia & IMCINE funds recipient), Santuario (Tribeca fund), 499 (Sundance Doc fund) and Martinez (Torino lab, Berlinale Talents script station participant, IMCINE & Tribeca funds recipient). Georgina is a graduate of CUEC-UNAM filmmaking BA & USC's Peter Stark MFA producing program, sponsored by Fulbright, HBO & FONCA-CONACYT scholarships.

 

Carlos A. Aguirre (Vice President of Features | 3pas Studios)

Carlos is a development and production executive with more than 10-years working across the entertainment industry. He is currently serving as Vice President of Features at Eugenio Derbez’s production company, 3Pas Studios. Most recently, he was Executive Director of Originals at Millennial Latinx-focused Mitu. Prior to that, he served as Creative Executive for Paramount Pictures where he worked on such high-profile films as BUMBLEBEE, A QUIET PLACE, and RINGS. Carlos began his career at Fox Television Studios where was responsible for developing scripted dramas for the US and Latin American markets.

Born in Peru, Carlos has spent his career championing diverse voices, particularly within the Latinx community.
