René Pérez Joglar AKA Residente and Alexander Dinelaris are teaming up to co-write the film "Porto Rico." Dinelaris wrote the Academy-Award winning screenplays for "Birdman" and "The Revenant." "Porto Rico" is a historical drama based on the life of Puerto Rican revolutionary, José Maldonado Román, who fought against colonialism by leading a gang of ex-convicts to vindicate Puerto Rico as it sought its identity as a country.
