From Diego Luna to Jenna Ortega, Here Are the Golden Globe Nominations for 2023

The HFPA announced on Monday, December 12th nominations for the 80th annual Golden Globes. Among the nominees are Latino talent and creatives: Selena Gomez, Jenna Ortega, Guillermo del Toro, Diego Calva, Diego Luna, Aubrey Plaza, Ana de Armas, and Anya Taylor Joy.

Creative Arts Children’s & Family Emmy Awards: ‘Maya and the Three,’ ‘Sneakerella’ Among Winners

The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences’ held the inaugural Children’s & Family Emmy Awards on Saturday, December 10th. Among the winners was Jorge R. Gutierrez's "Maya and the Three" which took home three awards: Outstanding Promotional Announcement, Outstanding Writing for an Animated Program, and Outstanding Sound Editing and Sound Mixing for an Animated Program.

‘Pachinko’ Wins Ensemble Cast Award as Independent Spirit TV Nominations Are Announced

Film Independent announced the 2023 Spirit Award television nominees. They also announced Apple TV+'s “Pachinko” as the winner for Best New Ensemble Cast.
Frankie Quiñones was nominated for Best Supporting Performance in a New Scripted Series for his role in "This Fool." Nominated for Best New Scripted Series is FX's "The Bear" which is executive produced by Joanna Calo.

Martfilms, Cine Concepción, Merfilm Join Pulsar Cine’s Honduran Drama ‘Cae el Sol’

Mexico’s Martfilms, Guatemala’s Cine Concepción and Norway’s Merfilm have boarded Aeden O’Connor Agurcia’s Honduran immigration drama “Cae el sol” (“Sun Falls”), produced by Ana Isabel Martins Palacios at Pulsar Cine. Production on the film is planned to start by the end of next year or early 2024.
