Film Independent is now accepting submissions for the 2013 Spirit Awards, set for its traditional pre-Oscar Saturday, February 23. The regular submission deadline is Tuesday, September 18, with the final deadline on Tuesday, October 16. 'Jardin de Amapolas' Selected as Closing Night Film at Colombian Fest


NALIP Members Maja Zimmermann and Arturo Diaz Ramos produced the film Jardin de Amapolas, by Colombian director Juan Carlos Melo Guevara. The film has been selected as the Closing Night Film for Victor Gaviria's film festival, screening August 31st in Medellin, Colombia.

The film will celebrate its international premiere as part of the Official Competition in Warsaw at WFF, October 12-21.
