NALIP 10 speaker signs overall deal with Relativity

By Michael Speier, The Wrap

[NALIP 10 speaker] Wilmer Valderrama has signed an overall deal with RelativityREAL, the reality and alternative television unit of Ryan Kavanaugh's Relativity Media. The deal calls for Valderrama to create, develop and executive-produce new series for broadcast and cable networks.

"Wilmer's career is a testament to his ability to push boundaries both in front of the camera and behind it," said Forman. "It's a perfect fit."

In addition to a blind script commitment to produce a new show for the Disney Channel, Valderrama voices the title role in the Playhouse Disney animated series, "Handy Manny."

Recently, he executive produced and starred in a one-hour comedy for Fox entitled, "The Emancipation of Ernesto." Valderrama's production company, WV Enterprises, also recently sold Nickelodeon a half-hour comedy entitled "Earth to Pablo."

He is also working with MTV to develop a half- hour novella, "Brooklyn Sound."
