Reporting to the Chief Digital Officer, the Director of Business Development plays a key role in creating and overseeing strategies that support departmental initiatives and revenue goals.  Additionally, the Director will collaborate with internal clients, external partners and agencies to develop strategies that will drive digital innovation and revenue.

The Director of Business Development is an exciting new role responsible for securing new clients, managing existing key partnerships, and growing the overall online business of the Interactive Engagement Group.  Leveraging in-depth sales expertise and knowledge of digital and brand strategies, the Director identifies new business opportunities aimed at achieving a target goal of $1MM in new revenue annually.  Specific responsibilities include:

  • Identify, research, solicit and cultivate new business opportunities aimed at increasing revenue;
  • Define project requirements, negotiate contracts and close on new business;
  • Evaluate new opportunities, analyze market strategies, requirements and  financial implications;
  • Supervise and direct the work of external agencies, creative consultants and vendors.

Qualified candidates will have a BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience and a minimum of 5 years’ of experience in business development.  Demonstrated knowledge of web site/mobile development, social media campaigns, web analytics and online sales is necessary along with a successful record of developing and growing business. The successful candidate is a results oriented team player with strong sales skills able to work collaboratively at all levels.

Required Skills
