Diego

Diego directed by NALIP fellow Sara Seligman (LMM 2011) is screening at FICG in LA this September after being accepted into their Shorts Program.

The short features a small town in Mexico, where violence is equivalent to manhood, Diego and his family live day-by-day. He struggles to fit in and prove his worth to his father because he is, by nature, a quiet and sensitive child. The threat of psychological and physical abuse from the older men inthe family constantly looms over Diego. One day, he finally meets someone he can relate to,and his eyes are opened to the consequences of his family's actions. Diego is left with a choice: will he follow in his family's footsteps, or will he risk his life and follow his heart?

As of now "Diego" starring Humberto Busto (Amores Perros) Christian Vazquez (5 de mayo, I hate love...) have been invited to screen at the following festivals:
