Currently the Latino community only represents a small percentage on the bone marrow donor list. To bring awareness to and increase the donor list, City of Hope is having a Blood/Platelet and Marrow Drive. 

Longtime NALIPster, Tery Lopez, needs our community's support. Her niece has been diagnosed with Leukemia and is in need of bone marrow and the ideal donor would be of Latino decent. Please use promo code: swab4denise at the drive, to directly benefit Tery's niece. 

If you'd like to join this drive and you can't make it in person, you can go to the Be the Match website and fill out the consent form online and a swab kit will be sent to your house.
