Los Angeles-based independent media company Monkey Mind Media announced the Netflix release of the 2014 Sundance Documentary Cesar's Last Fast.  Directed and executive produced by Richard Ray Perez, the feature documentary pays tribute to civil and labor rights leader Cesar Chavez by spotlighting his 1988 "Fast for Life" and examine the conflict within the movement he led. The deal, reportedly in the low six figures, is an exclusive, three-year subscription video-on-demand license in all of North America, including French-speaking Canada, and all of Latin American where it will stream with Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese subtitles.
