Call for Entries: San Antonio CineFestival

San Antonio CineFestival, the nation's original and longest-running national and international U.S. Latino film festival, is now accepting official entries for its 2014 edition. CineFestival is a recognized and significant event among American film festivals presenting the work of emerging and established filmmakers, showcasing the breadth and diversity of the Latino experience in four categories: Narrative Feature, Short, Documentary and Emerging Artist.

The CineFestival call for entries early deadline is by 5 p.m. CST Friday, October 4, 2013.  The fee for each early entry is $25 for non-students and $15 for students.  The final deadline for entries is by 5 p.m. CST Friday, November 1, 2013 and the fee for each November 1st entry is $35 for non-students and $25 for students. Entries may be submitted online using Filmmakers will be notified by January 17, 2014.

The 36th annual CineFestival will be held February 22- March 1, 2014 at the historic Guadalupe Theater, 1301 Guadalupe Street. The eight-day event will feature national and international film screenings, Q&A sessions, panel and informal discussions, networking opportunities, awards celebration, and involvement by youth filmmakers on a special screening night dedicated to San Antonio talent.

CineFestival will also feature the prestigious Premio Mesquite awards for Best Narrative Feature, Best Short, Best Documentary, Emerging Artist, and a Special Jury award.
