NALIP Announces the 2013 Latino Producers Academy Fellows!

NALIP is proud to present the 19 Fellows who will make up the 10th Latino Producers Academy that will take place June 13-23 in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Celebrating 10 years of working with Latino filmmakers, the National Association of Latino Independent Producers has selected 13 Documentary Fellows and 6 New Media Fellows from all over the nation to come to Santa Fe and workshop their Documentary and New Media projects with the help of Professional Mentors working in the industry. The LPA is funded through the generous support of HBO, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, the Nathan Cummings Foundation, The Fledgling Fund, the Hanson Film Institute, Latino Public Broadcasting, HFPA, the Institute of American Indian Arts, POV, and Comcast NBC Universal. Over the course of a 10 day period the Fellows will meet with Mentors to develop their projects in the areas of editing, marketing, web design, and distribution plan. Set against the beautiful and diverse New Mexico landscape, the LPA is happy to return to Santa Fe for a 5th year.

Angel Harper and Richard Naranjo with Keeping the Faith With Morrie

The 2013 New Media Fellows are: Monika Navarro and Elizabeth Ai with Marked for Life. Dawn Valadez and Katherine Saviskas with Turn it Around. Laurie Coyle with Adios Amor. Patricia Benabe with Puerto Rico: Going Forward.
