7:30PM: An air-conditioned FIRESIDE CHAT by Tio Louie with Ben DeJesus, director of the PBS documentary, “Tales from a Ghetto Klown” and Rosie Berrido who worked closely with actor John Leguizamo to translate and adapt "Ghetto Klown," his latest one-man show on Broadway into Spanish for a South American tour. This film captures a rich journey of actor/playwright John Leguizamo from Queens to Broadway to Colombia.

Ben DeJesus
Ben was a producer/writer for three seasons on the highly popular show, MTV Cribs. He opened Diamante Pictures producing spots for Nickelodeon, ESPN, MTV, TV LAND and Nick@Nite. Soon he co-produced the boxing documentary “Bazooka: The Battles of Wilfredo Gomez,” which premiered at Lincoln Center and was acquired by HBO. Ben has also directed commercials for companies including Ford, Mazda, AEG Live, AT&T, Samsung and others. He is known also as a music video director and in 2009 premiered the reality series Xtreme: On The Verge, which was a top-rated TV show for NBC/Universal’s mun2 network. Now as Chief Creative Officer of NGL Media, a leading online Latino video content creator and distributor, Ben is charged with delivering a high volume of innovative, original and branded digital content.

Rosie Berrido
Rosie Berrido is a native New Yorker of Spanish-Dominican heritage. A graduate of NYU and the School for Film and Television, she has performed in over 75 productions in English and Spanish in New York and abroad. She has been performing at the Spanish Repertory Theater for the last 15 years. She is the recipient of several HOLA Awards (Hispanic Org. for Latin Actors); a New York State Citation Award and an ACE (Association of Hispanic Theater Critics) Award. Berrido is the face of Reader's Digest on Spanish-language television and is the Spanish voice of several leading audio books.

Documentary profiles the renowned actor/playwright, John Leguizamo and his unorthodox rise to success, while capturing his struggles to mount his latest one-man show on Broadway and beyond. The film also captures John’s cultural re‐awakening and struggles as he follows up his award‐winning turn on Broadway with an international tour, which culminates with his first‐ever Spanish language production in his homeland of Colombia.
