Call for Entries: Philip K. Dick Festival of Science Fiction

The Philip K. Dick Festival of Science Fiction will be held November 9-11, 2012 in NYC. We are interested in expanding beyond the 'quote unquote' sci fi genre films to incorporate science fiction stories directed or written by Latinos, African Americans and other people of color that reflect the needs and challenges of their communities.

The Philip K. Dick festival is organized by filmmakers who understand the difficulties and challenges of telling a unique story in a corporate environment. The year 2012 marks the inauguration of the festival. The festival will be held in New York City in the fall for a total of 3 days in venues all over town. Guest speakers and writers that best represent the goals of the festival will attend the opening ceremonies. There will be panel discussions.

It will also be the first official Science Fiction festival in New York City, and for those dedicated fans of Philip K. Dick, Jorge Luis Borges, Arthur C. Clark, and Sam Delany this a plus.

Early Bird deadline: July 15
