Argentine film director and screenwriter, Andy Muschietti is certainly celebrating following the box office success from his film "It." Earning in its opening weekend $123 million, Muschietti looks ahead to the sequel, or "Chapter Two" of the "It" film.
While there is no official greenlight from Warner Bros. nor New Line Cinema, both Andy and Barbara Muschietti seamlessly moved onto writing and developing "Chapter Two." Andy plans on utilizing a lot of back and forth flashbacks with the child actors, so his main concern is to film before the children get older noticeably.
Andy Muschietti laid a strong foundation for his next step for the sequel. It will just be a matter of time before he gets the greenlight to start filming. Muschietti is no stranger to horror films, he is best known for directing the 2013 horror film Mama, which the short film was the one that attracted Guillermo del Toro to executive produce the feature-length film. We look forward to more record breaking films from Muschietti!
