We wanted to show a different perspective on death. We researched international cultural customs that inspired the idea of having a party to celebrate the life of a love one that has died. In this perspective, we see Alice Mabry remembering and cherishing the happy memories she had with her mother. The white lantern ceremony signifies her passing into the after life.
