Haroula is a writer, director and producer who has worked on films such as FRUITVALE STATION, two upcoming feature documentaries, and has written and will direct ONCE UPON A RIVER, based on the best selling book by Bonnie Jo Campbell. Her short films and videos have screened at over 30 festivals around the world and won awards. Additionally, her music can be heard on many TV series, films, and other media including HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, AMERICAN HORROR STORY, AWKWARD, STILL ALICE, and many others.

Haroula grew up in Chicago, was a Fulbright Scholar in Madrid, Spain, and has been part of Tribeca's All Access Program. She received her BA/MA from the University of Chicago and attended USC's School of Cinematic Arts MFA program.
