A network of vibrant, thriving member stations across the country is the foundation of a healthy public broadcasting system. PBS Station Services is committed to carrying out three interrelated initiatives - focused specifically on Community Engagement, Organizational Capacity and Station Leadership Development – that are viewed as critical to increasing member station effectiveness.

The Station Leadership Development initiative will work with member stations to identify and develop rising and diverse leaders both inside and outside of the station community.  A key component of the initiative is training local station leadership on how to build and engage effective station boards and volunteers in the community.
