Disney | ABC Television Writing Program

Description

The program is designed to expose writers to key executives, producers and literary representatives – all essential in the development of a writing career. Additionally, while in the program, writers have the opportunity to work one-on-one with a current programming or development executive to create spec scripts of series from the current broadcast season. The ultimate goal is to prepare the writers for television staffing.

Support Provided

Writers become employees of Disney | ABC Television Group and will be paid a weekly salary of $961.54 ($50,000.00 annualized) plus any applicable benefits for which they are eligible in accordance with the then-current Company benefits plans.

Disney | ABC DGA Directing Program

Description

Those selected to participate in the two-year program become part of the ABC∙DGA directing talent pool. Executive producers and producing episodic directors of designated ABC Television Network shows will select individuals to shadow on an episode or episodes of their series. 

Support Provided

Those participants who secure shadowing assignments, which encompass pre-production, shooting and/or post-production (3 or more weeks), will be paid a stipend in the amount of $950.00 per week when actively shadowing on any aspect of a production. The duration of an individual's participation is at the discretion of ABC executives, executive producers and/or episodic directors.

Disney | ABC Casting Project

Description

Casting project is a series of showcases for actors produced in partnership with AFTRA, SAG, Actors Equity, Nosotros and other local theater groups. Opportunities for actors of diverse backgrounds including actors with disabilities.

Support Provided

Allows actors exposure, direction and feedback from creative and casting executives of ABC Entertainment, Touchstone Television, as well as from writers and executive producers from the entertainment industry.

ABC Studios Production Associates Program

Description

The one-year program offers access to entry-level positions within television production management for individuals from diverse backgrounds. Candidates work closely with ABC Studios personnel and executives who mentor the associates and take a personal interest in their progress. The ultimate goal is to help prepare promising individuals for future career advancement within the television industry.
