Executive Leadership Development Program 

Description

The ELDP was designed specifically for NAMIC by the Anderson School's Office of Executive Education Programs, which is renowned for its Leadership Institutes that are focused specifically on African American, Latino and Asian populations.

Support Provided

Participants spend time in guided examination of their leadership styles, strengths and "blind spots," emotional intelligence, and the unique experiences that executives of color have with power: acquiring it; using it wisely; comprehending it in all its cultural and organizational complexity.

L. Patrick Mellon Mentorship Program
Description
Mentors guide mentees in creating and implementing career advancement strategies in the Cable and Telecommunications industry.

Support Provided

Top-level industry professionals mentor for nine months. One-on-one sessions for support, guidance and career advice are held for a minimum of two hours per month.

Writers’ Workshops

Description

The NAMIC Writers’ Workshops help build a diverse pipeline of skilled storytellers for television and digital media platforms.

The program includes:
professional evaluation of submitted material, one-on-one meeting with script analyst to review coverage, intensive day-long writing class taught by successful, working writers, overview of the business and self-marketing seminar, and hands-on New Media training,
