Many pioneers of U.S. Latino filmmaking began their careers in public television. But do the same opportunities exists for today's Latino media makers? From station management to funding for projects to programming on primetime, Latino representation on PBS does not match the group's growing demographics. In a public TV landscape that seems to promote "Downton Abbey" over "Independent Lens", where do Latinos and their huge potential younger audience fit in this all-important media platform that reaches 103 million people?
