NBC Social Media Manager

Job Purpose 
The Social Media Manager for NBC Entertainment Digital will manage social profiles for multiple shows, with the charge to implement the show’s social media strategy, oversee the show’s daily presence across social networks and create entertaining and engaging content. 

Essential Responsibilities 

  • Innovate new and creative ways to use social platforms and digital content to tell stories and interact with the audience 
  • Write and create content on social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Google+, and Instagram 
  • Gather assets from talent and production to distribute across multiple networks 
  • Act as the “steward” for assigned shows on social media 
  • Develop an overall social editorial plan as well as episodic content in coordination with Digital Marketing staff, fellow Social Media Managers, stakeholders in the company, and show production 
  • Build, listen to, and cultivate the online audience for shows 
  • Provide insights and ongoing metrics

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 3 years experience working in social or digital media, creating entertainment-based content and experiences 
  • A demonstrable passion for social media 
  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Thrive in the fast paced TV and social environments; manage multiple projects and tasks at the same time
