Why I Strike by Danielle Sanchez-Witzel

As we celebrate the leadership and contributions of the American worker this Labor Day, the film and television industry remains engaged in a generational struggle that will shape the future of our workforce, our content, and our business. With ripple effects felt through every part of the industry, we are hyperaware of how this moment is impacting historically excluded communities today and in the future.

To mark Labor Day, NALIP asked Danielle Sanchez-Witzel who serves on the Negotiating Committee of the WGA to tell us why she strikes and what’s at stake.
