NALIP Selects Docs MX Documentary Film

 NALIP was present at Docs MX which took place in Mexico from October 16-21, 2016. Once again, NALIP participated in the DocsForum part of the DocsLab and awarded a documentary film with the opportunity to be part of the 2017 Latino Media Market held concurrent to the annual NALIP Media Summit. Congratulations to Paulina Rosas and Belem Ramirez Mayen, director and producer of the film 'That Place Called Babylon'.

The film focuses on the story of a Mexican musician who found an orchestra with Syrians and Afghans musicians living as refugees in Berlin; and due to diversity of languages, they found in music the way to communicate each other while they wait for their immigration status reach a resolution to stay or being send them back to war.
