Narrator, Producers' Rep for NALIPster's Doc

Mike Cuenca of Artisan Creative Communications, LLC, is finalizing post-production of his video documentary, "Father Hidalgo's Mexico: Exploring the past and the present of the places where Mexico was born." The documentary tells the story of the 1810 Hidalgo Insurrection that led to independence from Spain and focuses on four cites in central Mexico: Guanajuato, San Miguel de Allende, Dolores Hidalgo, and Querétaro.

"Through this project, I hope to help more Americans understand more about Mexico and how much history our two countries share," Cuenca said. "At the same time, I want to help make sure that the descendant sons and daughters of Mexico who live in the U.S. know the history of Mexico. There is a lot to be proud of."

This position is responsible for video mastering and delivery of all FOX Sports On-Air promotions.  

Responsibilities

  • Hands-on mastering and delivery of all completed FOX Sports On-Air Promos; Provides direction to NE&O editor and chryon operator to ensure all promos correctly versioned, mastered and delivered for air on FBC and the FCN group with correct content, tracking numbers and backplate info according to broadcast specs.
  • Creates and assigns ISCI codes for all spots to be produced.
  • Builds and delivers the nightly affiliate satellite reel to the Operations Center (TOC) for feed in order to distribute promotions, presentations, ID’s and various graphic and production elements to FOX Affiliates. Produces and sends documentation listing all elements on the nightly feed to affiliates via EXPEDITE an eMessaging service.
  • Creates and updates day of air comp sheets and traffic instructions to accompany and document the delivery of spots for placement on FBC Programming.
  • Builds and distributes Daily & Weekly approval cassettes tracking progress of spots being mastered and delivered. 
  • Generates and distributes traffic instructions and facilitates delivery of all FBC Sports promos airing on those within the FCN group and strategic cross channel cable partners

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Film, TV or a related field preferred
  • A minimum of 1-2 years experience in a post production facility, including experience in versioning for cable feed
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good organizational skills and superior attention to detail are necessary. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with Mac OS, Avid, After Effects and Photoshop is preferred.
  • Previous experience supervising/leading a team is required.
