Gilbert Cedillo


Gilbert Cedillo is a California State Assemblyman best known for championing the issues of the working class and immigrant communities and for his commitment to passing legislation allowing undocumented immigrants to obtain drivers licenses. A lifelong resident of Los Angeles, his passions also extend to issues of homelessness, transportation, access to health care, and veterans’ issues, among many others. Previously, he was a California State Senator who sat on the Senate Rules Committee and was a California State Assemblyman, where he became Chair of the Assembly Budget Subcommittee on Health and Human Services and served as Assistant Majority Leader.
