Margie Moreno


Margie Moreno is the Vice President, Programming, West Coast, for mun2, the fastest growing Hispanic entertainment cable network in 2012. In her role she oversees all west coast programming including current programming and development. She is based in the networks Los Angeles offices, housed at Universal Studios.  

Moreno has over 15 years of television experience, having served as both a producer and network executive. Prior to mun2, Moreno was Head of Development for Imagina US/ Promofilm US, an international television production company, where she specialized in adapting international television formats (scripted and reality) for U.S. broadcast and cable markets.  In that role she produced pilots and original series for such networks as NBC, Discovery, MTV, ABC, and Lifetime, among others. 

Before working in the international marketplace, Moreno was the Director of Original Programming at TBS Superstation where she was involved in the development and production of scripted and reality programs, including the highest rated TV movies of 2002 and 2003. Prior to that she worked at Mandalay Entertainment where she helped create Mandalay Television and worked with feature film talent and writers in developing projects for television, including the highly rated miniseries, "Dean Koontz’s: Intensity." Others television programs she has been involved with include; the Emmy nominated cable TV movies "Hidden In America" (Showtime) and "Gia" (HBO).     

She served on the board of the Television Academy Executive Peer Group and is a member of the Producers Guild of America. She is a member of Step Up Women’s Network where she was given a Volunteer of the Year Award in 2010.
