Los Perdidos, developed during NALIP's 2011 Latino Writers Lab by Fellow Gus Avila, is the story of three teens whose lives intersect in a gritty East Los Angeles neighborhood, leading them on a path of self-discovery and redemption. The script was selected to participate at the 2015 Cannes FilmFestival's Maison des Scénaristes (a.k.a. the International ScreenwritersPavillion). It was the only U.S. entry of twenty-four projects selected worldwide to participate in the program. This unique opportunity will allow Avila to pitch the project to international film producers and financiers.
