Born and raised in Boyle Heights, Frank Aragon draws on his experiences to produce the 2009 American crime drama, Down for Life (aka Por Vida) that premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. The film is based on a true story and follows one day in the life of a 15-year old gang leader in Watts, CA.
