Newport Beach
Newport Beach is nestled 50 miles south of Los Angeles and 85 miles north of San Diego.  Daytime temperatures average 80 degrees during the summer, and only dip to the mid-60s in winter. Evening temperatures seldom fall below 50 degrees year-round.
 
The Newport Beach Marriott Hotel and Spa, home of NALIP Conference 8, is walking distance to Newport Beach’s Fashion Island, a beautiful shopping center with Mediterranean-style walkways that boasts over 200 specialty shops and a vast array of restaurants and cafes.

HOTEL TRANSPORTAION Marriott airport shuttle picks up and drops off from John Wayne/Orange County Airport only. From Hotel to the John Wayne/Orange County Airport: The shuttle leaves the hotel every hour on the hour for the Airport beginning at 6am. The last trip to the airport leaves at 10pm. A bellman will make an announcement in the main lobby of the hotel prior to leaving for the airport. A guest may also wait in front of the hotel. For transportation from John Wayne/Orange County Airport to the Hotel: The shuttle picks guests up on the half-hour every hour. The first pick up is at 6:30am and the last pick up is at 10:30pm. All the guest needs to do is to follow the signs to the Baggage Claim; once there, go outside the baggage claim area and cross the street to the Taxi/Hotel Shuttles Pick-Up area. The hotel van is white with red lettering stating “Newport Beach Marriott Hotel” on the door. Make sure you look for the Newport Beach Marriott shuttle as there are several Marriott hotels in Orange County and we would hate for you to get on the wrong van. The van is a complimentary service based on first come, first serve basis. The van will hold about 10 guests and their luggage at a time.
