Non-scripted Television Series Ideas - Pitching SíTV
SiTV wants to hear your non-scripted programming ideas!  SiTV targets young mainstream Latinos in a variety of platforms (TV, Web, Mobile) and they are looking for fresh entertainment concepts. SiTV is always on the lookout for ideas with comedic and/or pop cultural appeal, but anything that is compelling is viable.   Bring them something about the "Young Latino Experience - NOW," something that speaks to their target audience.

When constructing your SíTV pitch, keep the following in mind:

Do some homework… visit SiTV.com to see what they have already done. SiTV is a general entertainment channel, so please exclude programming that doesn’t fall into their existing genres (i.e. no sports or hard news). They are not yet a channel that runs live programming or live event specials.
Make sure your idea is viable for TV, Broadband, and Mobile. The best ideas come with built in applications for the various ways that young Latinos interact with their media. It helps if your concept can be repeated and rerun effectively. For it to sustain a long shelf life it helps if the programming does not become dated due to a very specific topicality.
Si TV loves reality series with strong, original hooks, but they are not looking for the Latino version of “The Bachelor” or any other existing idea; so, please, have a strong original hook!
Si TV is young and growing, so they must be vigilant with their budgets.  A modest budget must not mean low quality. As producer you will have figured out a way to produce your concept in a cost efficient way.
Make it REAL. Ideas must come with a plan for execution. As part of your pitch, Si TV wants you to demonstrate how your concept will be produced; how the acts play out; a beginning, middle & end.
Depending on your level of experience, be open to working with more established SiTV producers to realize your project.

Applications must include:

Completed Contact and Project Information Form (part of application)
Signed Release form (part of application)
Each pitch must be submitted in writing, 1-3 pages plus a short 3-4 sentence synopsis and a genre
Project Status: Talent to be considered, episode rundown including episodic goals, and explanation of what your role would be, if the project is green-lit.
Photograph: A clear and current passport-style electronic photo in JPEG (.jpg) format on the CD along with your application materials.

Applicants must submit completed application no later than Friday, January 19, 2007.

IMPORTANT: Applicants must submit four (4) exact copies (4 packages) of all materials submitted with their application (including application), and 1 “electronic” CD copy containing application materials, synopsis and photo.
