Thank you for your interest in NALIP’s Fifth National Conference in Santa Barbara, California, February 26 - 29. This year’s program, Reel Change: Framing the Future, promises information and networking opportunities to build relationships, produce results, and make a difference on your projects and careers. We are lining up a great list of speakers, presenters and awardees! Details available at www.nalip.org under Conference V. NALIP has designated a portion of the Conference V budget to be distributed as Member Travel Support scholarships. The scholarship includes:
A number of you have received scholarships to past Conferences, and are now farther along in your careers. First priority on scholarships will be given to students and to new producers who demonstrate compelling need. Second priority go to returning scholarship applicants, and they will be asked to do some work at the Conference in exchange for NALIP’s support of their travel and development. This may include 4 hours of logistics/office support, taking digital pictures, recording or taking notes on plenaries or panels, manning the member/screening lounge, etc. Please note that even if you must be registered to apply for a scholarship, and should you receive one, you remain responsible for booking and paying your airfare or other travel costs. You may use scholarship funds towards any expenses that you incur to attend. Scholarships will be awarded by January 20, if not sooner. The scholarship check will be distributed in your registration packet, and will be available at the Conference Registration Table in Santa Barbara when you arrive.
