Ambulante CA Tour Will Screen Across L.A.

Ambulante has announced its film lineup as well as its numerous venue stops and partners for its inaugural Ambulante California tour, taking place September 21 – October 4. The festival kicks off at MacArthur Park with the LA premiere of Bronx Obama. Director Ryan Murdock and the titular Obama impersonator, Louis Ortiz will accompany the film’s premiere alongside Ambulante founders Elena Fortes and Pablo Cruz.

Festival events will take place in 13 different venues across eight different neighborhoods. All events are free and open to the public, and the majority of them take place outdoors.

Ambulante California is a non-competitive film festival that offers its programming for free. The curated program of twenty-two documentaries represents a mix of topics, ranging from cultural identity, music, family driven, biography, social justice and environmental issues. Eight of the films are in Spanish language and will be presented with English subtitles.
