Lizbett Pérez was raised in Puerto Rico and in New York City. Lizbett was invited to participate in NALIP’s 2011 Latino Media Market with her script Act Your Age. She is also a 2011 NALIP Writers Lab Fellow. Lizbett has worked at the country’s leading public access television network in Manhattan, which administers four cable channels. As Operations Manager, Lizbett was responsible for coordinating community-based programming on subjects of interest to the broader public, including candidate forums and other programs involving political and public figures. In 2007, Lizbett moved to V-Me Media, a national Spanish television educational network. As the Production Manager, Lizbett coordinated locally originated programs including a live, nationally televised broadcast for the 2008 presidential election returns. Lizbett has worked on independent productions with an emphasis on assistant directing, script development and line - producing for documentaries, film and television. Her credits include development for “Mariposa,” an Asha Productions award - winning documentary directed by Paul Barrera. She was associate producer for 21 and for Big Dreams in Little Hope, two features directed by Erin Greenwell. After her tenure at V-me, Lizbett has continued her media education by participating in producing and writing workshops. She also continues to work on independent projects such as My Best Day, Director Erin Greenwell’s upcoming feature. Most recently, She obtained a BFA in Communications with honors from Sacred Heart University in San Juan.
